Welcome to ATOC

KINDLY NOTE THAT ATOC CEASED OPERATIONS IN JUNE 2018. THANK YOU TO ALL OUR CLIENTS WHO SUPPORTED US IN OUR 14 YEARS OF OPERATIONS.
ATOC is a centre for children providing inter-disciplinary evaluation and specialized instruction to the gifted, ESL and special needs community.
ATOC, founded in 2004, is the shortened acronym for 'Acorns to Oaks Centre' and is an established well equipped facility situated in a quiet residential area of Bangkok which serves for the hub for the delivery of an extensive range of services, including services to international schools. A team of foreign and Thai consultants work to ensure that skills are generalized to home and school settings.
Our services include comprehensive evaluations of children taking into account family culture, languages and dynamics. A team of specialists work collaboratively to provide information; parent training and comprehensive services where the ‘best interests of the child’ is foremost in any planning process. Individualized programmes include therapeutic and educational objectives. Behavioral and social interventions vary with each situation and collaboration with school and home is important. Counselling in addition to assessment is provided by qualified and experienced Psychologists.
Accredited assessments are undertaken as they provide an invaluable insight into why the child may be experiencing difficulties. Each assessment includes an extremely comprehensive report with medical referral where considered necessary.
After considering and reaching a young child's readiness to test, internationally accredited assessment tools are used in addition to performance based evaluations.
ATOC's education and Intervention programmes are tailored for a diverse population to include EAL students who may not be acquiring English easily, students with mild learning difficulties, those with diagnoses such as ADD, Autism, Dyslexia, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental delay, Down syndrome and LD and others including students with some immaturity or lost motivation, students switching to schooling in English and those students transitioning to a different school system. Intensive support can be given where students are pending admission to an international school.
Our priority is to maintain a personal service even when there are increased demands on the services. This means engaging and developing a team of professionals who are not only qualified and experienced but also passionate and committed to the child's wellbeing and goals. We encourage communication with parents, teachers and any other persons who may be connected with your child's development in order that we actively develop solutions and promote successful learning experiences.
ATOC also distributes English based resources via ATOC-R, to all schools, counselling offices and homes in both Bangkok and outer provinces within Thailand . The resources, suitable for both primary and secondar schools are published by Cengage, RIC, ACER and OUP (Oxford). They are of extremely high quality and include detailed coverage of education, therapy and personal development resources for teachers. Reading schemes are also distributed along with photo-copiable resources for teachers, skill based work books, and enquiry based learning schemes and special programmes.

ATOC will be closed from 22nd Dec to 4th Jan. We hope you all have an enjoyable Christmas & New Year and we look forward to seeing you in 2015.Please email if you need any information during the holidays
